Ashlee Raign, 39, began her journey into abstract painting at the age of 16. Drawn to the freedom of the style, she found it resonated more deeply with her than other forms, focusing primarily on acrylics on canvas and occasionally experimenting with oils. Much of Ashlee's work is a powerful reflection of her own experiences with pain, growth, and self-discovery. As a neurodivergent artist, she experiences vivid mental imagery that guides her through each piece, like a personal road map that stays with her until the emotions and vision are fully expressed on the canvas. Self-taught and navigating various health challenges, Ashlee paints intuitively, letting her brush and paint flow naturally to bring her unique inner world to life.
